Image Line Software releases Ogun

Image Line Software, the developer of FL Studio, has released its latest synthesizer, Ogun. Named after the god of iron, Ogun is a powerful synthesizer for creating real metallic sounds, although it is not limited to this genre. Ogun’s distinctive synthesis engine can generate more than 32,000 harmonics, modulated by ‘harmonic mapping’ functions, that hand tonal control directly to the user.

ESI releases new USB Midi Interface M8U XL

The M8U XL was announced in early 2008, and is now available from ESI. The USB 2.0 Midi Interafce offers maximum MIDI connectivity with 8 independent MIDI inputs and 8 independent MIDI outputs, providing 128 MIDI channels – all via a single USB 2.0 (or USB 1.1) connection to your PC or Mac. The 1U sized replacement for M8U provides 1 MIDI input and 1 MIDI output on the front for easy access, next to status LEDs for all MIDI I/O ports. All the the other MIDI I/O connectors are on the backside of the unit.

LinPlug RMV released!

LinPlug today releases the RMV Drum Addiction Drum Synthesizer, Drum Sampler, Audio Loop Slicer and Drum Librarian for PC’s running Microsoft Windows XP or Vista. The Mac OSX version is scheduled for later this autumn. RMV is the result of many years of investigation and programming and a huge step forward from its predecessor, the RM IV, that has been sold more than 10,000 times.

TL Audio to launch new console at AES 2008

This years October AES convention in San Francisco will see TL Audio launching a brand new version of their popular M1 Tube tracker console. The new M1-F features the same high quality tube preamps and beautifully smooth and musical EQ as the original but has some great additions too. The master section has been improved now featuring a mono button for use when mixing and also balanced insert points for mixdown, summing and mastering.
