Antares Audio Technologies has announced that Auto-Tune EFX, Real-Time Auto-Tune Vocal Effect and Pitch Correction Plug-in, will now be available at authorized Antares dealers around the world.

Initially introduced in a limited rollout in November 2008, Auto-Tune EFX is an extremely affordable and easy-to-use tool for real-time pitch correction and for creating the Auto-Tune Vocal Effect (i.e., the T-Pain/ Cher-style effect). Powered by the same ground-breaking Evo™ Voice Processing Technology as Antares' Auto-Tune Evo, the latest generation of the worldwide standard in professional pitch correction, Auto-Tune EFX makes Antares-quality pitch processing accessible to anyone engaged in computer-based audio recording.

Made wildly popular by T-Pain, Kanye West, Cher, and many other artists in virtually every genre of popular music, the Auto-Tune Vocal Effect has become one of the signature vocal sounds of our time, while Auto-Tune has become the overwhelming tool of choice for creating it. With Auto-Tune EFX, Antares has created a tool designed to allow pretty much anyone to use genuine Evo Voice Processing Technology to create the Auto-Tune Vocal Effect quickly, easily and affordably.

"Due to the dramatic impact of the Auto-Tune Vocal Effect on the world of popular music, our initial limited introduction of Auto-Tune EFX generated an enormous amount of excitement (and sales)," said Marco Alpert, Antares VP of Marketing. "Since then, both T-Pain and Kanye West have released new albums on which they make extensive use of the
Auto-Tune Vocal Effect and brought even more media attention to it. As a result, we're extremely pleased to expand the distribution of Auto-Tune EFX to our entire dealer base, making it possible for musicians around the world to have an affordable, easy-to-use tool for basic pitch correction and the Auto-Tune Vocal Effect."

Auto-Tune EFX is available for RTAS (Mac OS X and PC), VST (Mac OS X and PC) and Audio Units (Mac OS X) at a U.S. MSRP of $129.00. All Macintosh versions are universal binaries.
More Auto-Tune EFX information and a fully functional time-limited demo version are available at the Antares web site.
