Spectrasonics has released Stylus RMX(r) version 1.9, the company's first 64-bit native Mac software. The new version of the award-winning groove software is now compatible with Apple's recently released 'Snow Leopard' 64 bit operating system and the emerging 64-bit native host applications for music production on the OSX platform. Since native Windows 64-bit compatibility has been available since version 1.7, Stylus RMX is now fully cross-platform 64-bit native software and is also compatible with 32-bit Mac and Windows systems and hosts. The new 1.9 version also includes various technical fixes and compatibility updates with other recent software releases such as Apple's Logic 9.

Eric Persing, Founder and Creative Director of Spectrasonics notes, "With our in-house development team and our own core technology, we're now able to rapidly adapt to the changing technical needs of our users and keep pace with the industry-wide move towards 64-bit systems and access to more RAM. With the new version 1.9 update, RMX is at the forefront of the next wave of computing power, compatibility and convenience from fully 64-bit systems - all of which translates to a more satisfying music making experience with our instruments."

Stylus RMX is a professional, groove-based virtual instrument plug-in for Mac and Windows that has been featured on countless hit video game soundtracks, popular film and TV scores, chart-topping songs and
international remixes. Spectrasonics Advanced Groove Engine (S.A.G.E. (tm)) technology gives users dramatic control over groove production and performance. The recent addition of the unique Time Designer(tm) feature to RMX adds unlimited variations to its vast groove library with the new Groove Lock(tm) capability to lock any groove to another groove's feel, and the ability to play grooves in any time signature all while retaining a completely musical feel.

The full retail package of Stylus RMX Xpanded, which includes five S.A.G.E. Xpanders - has an MSRP of 299Euro.
