the X-32 Vocoder. It had been introduced in Frankfurt at the Musikmesse. We wanted to make a powerful vocoder using 32 bands and fonctions that places the X-32 as an Analog-Lab exclusivity. Available in June 2004.

Its conception based on two axis:

the power: with its 32 pure analog bands, the X-32 has an inegaled frequency responce : from 20Hz to 120Hz (lowpass), from 120Hz à 9Khz (30 bands) and from 9Khz to 20Khz (hipass).
This characteristic provides to the X-32 Vocoder the highest inteligibility and precision on all the frequencies, with a surprising harmonic wealth.
the flexibility: the X-32 can accept any audio sources, permits to open the routing capacities, uses exclusive fonctions on a vocoder and then becomes an open and expressive machine.

The X-32 Vocoder is an exceptionnel instrument and a wonderful opening on musical and sonic innovation. We'll put very soon various audio samples to make you feel the X-32 Vocoder.

Front:

Two inputs combo Xlr/Jack: microphone, instrument and line levels.
Leds for input calibration & saturation.
White noise generator and its level
Communication between the two inputs to create phaser types effects, etc.
A thermo-regulated internal oscillator, with its pitch & three stages harmonics generator.
Commutation between the "voiced/unvoiced" mode and the continuous oscillator.
Lfo speed (led indicator) and amount.
Progressive waveforms from the triangle to the square (continuous shaping by potentiometer).
Lfo synchronisation by triggering the input signal.
Output level.


Rear:
Input signal direct output (bypass) to remix the vocoded sound and the original signal ona mixing console for example,an input that permits to substitute the noise by another external source, an cv 0-5v input to pilot the oscillator, a direct oscillator output and the vocoder main output.
