"Overdrive and Distortion are two effects that are known by everyone. With the drive parameter you can determine the strength of the distortion and with the tone parameter you can easily adjust the sound color. The difference between both effects lies in the emulation of the warmer gain characteristics of field effect transistors (overdrive) versus the harder characteristics of bipolar transistors (distortion). A special ""emagical eye"" visualizes the parameter settings for you.
