Overall:
I got my board used for about $300,00. It was in perfact shape and everything worked very well. Big mistake I made wae not to clean it befor I used it live. I got some power spikes and two channels and an Aux quit working on the night we played. The next day everything worked fine so I spent 3 days completely taking the board apart and cleaning all contacts and reseating the jumpers. After that I gained alot of power all over and had no more problems.
Usability:
I can do so many things with this board and when I got used to it it was very easy to run. I use the aux sends for monitor mixes. I found that I could go into the board and take the EQ off of the aux sends so that the main mix eq does not effect the aux sends which is perfact for live monitor mixes. I use a 31 band eq for each monitor mix to give me tone and keep feedback down.
Sounds:
Sound is great and does helo if you use high end processors & speakers.
Build quality:
Any equipment will break if yor don't take care of it.

Overall:
I bought my 3282a mixer used but It was in very good condition with no damage anyware. When I used it live for the first time It worked well most of the night but I started to get power spikes and two channels quit working for awhile. I was really worried but because of my back ground in repairing electronics I took 3 days to totally take the complete board apart and clean and reseat the jumpers on the main boards. I noticed that this board was made up of 3 main pc boards jumped together and also the pots were hard to clean because they were pretty much sealed. After I was done I had no more problem with the board at all and the channel gain increased alot as well as the aux channels. The only thing that I really had to get used to was overdriving the channels which was easy after I cleaned it and the channel solo button had to be a little off because if I drove the channel a little to much the channel would shut itself down to protect itself, A protection built in to the board by behringer.
Usability:
The aux settings come in very handy for submixing monitor sends. I used a allen & heath board for a time & although that board is said to be much better I prefer the 3282 because of it's warmer sound. It is very easy to use and everything is straight foward. I know a lot of musicians feel that behringer is cheap equipment but I really like the lay out and look of my board. I believe that if the 3282 board had a differant name on it this board would be a very soth after board.
Build quality:
Like any electronic equipment you really should not drop it.

Overall:
first of all... i have the mx3282 and not the 3282a - i think the only difference is that my 'ins' are more in the back, while with the 3282a the 'ins' are more on top of the back. when i first looked at my 3282 i felt small... the table is pretty big and it looked to me as a nasa controll panel.
Usability:
the 3282 is realy easy to use, ofcourze there is a small lurncurve if this is your first mixer, but everyone who onwned a semi proffesional mixer before will be using the 3282 on instinct.
Sounds:
to me the 3282 sounds very clean, no noise at all. some people dont like 'the behringer' sound and say buy mixer X or mixer Y and you will see it sounds a lot better... i cant say because this is my first semi-serious mixer and i like it. althou i wana sell it because i wana jump over to the digital side of behringer... so interested people can mail me at ward.dewaele@pandora.be - any serious bid will be accepted , hehe.
Build quality:
build to last - heavy as shit. not realy portable ,what is the second reason i wana sell mine... i have to take my mixer with me on gigs, and this one is made to place it in your studio and leave it there...
