Steinberg cubase vst 5.1 Steinberg Available from 11/30/1999 until 11/30/1999

Steinberg's Cubase VST is the complete professional music recording system. It combines high resolution MIDI recording with audio recording in either 16 or 24 bit formats. Cubase VST is the home of the VST plug-in offering the world³s largest range of add-on realtime audio effects. Cubase VST supports ASIO audio cards - accessing the latest low latency audio cards - making Cubase VST the ideal base for the new range of sample accurate synthesizer plug-ins.

Extended information

Cubase VST is a not just an audio recorder, its a complete audio studio. The audio channels are connected to the outputs of a virtual multi-track recorder. Each of the channels has a level fader, a pan control, solo and mute switches, effects, equalisation controls and 5-stage dynamics section.

A channel can have up to 8 auxiliary sends that can be pre or post fader which access the VST plug-in effects rack, and 4 insert points for internal plug-in effects. Any of the channels can be routed to one of the 8 stereo groups which have practically the same options as any other channel including full effects access, equalisation and dynamics.

The complete mixing environment is saved with a song, including effects settings and any automation data you record. Practically every parameter in a mix can be automated simply by moving the control concerned.

All Cubase versions can record audio at either 16 or 24 bit resolution. Cubase VST/32 includes the ability to record, edit & export audio in 32 floating point files. This format practically impossible to overload is especially useful for when mixing down audi tracks.

Apart from the normal arranging tasks that can be performed in the arrange window, Cubase has two distinct audio editing windows. The first allows selections of audio to be snipped and re-ordered, given volume curves and be grouped totally non-destructively. Selections of audio can be used elsewhere without using any more disk storage space. The second editor acts directly on the recorded data and enables creative modification of the actual audio data with cut copy & paste techniques, and the application of tools such as time-stretch & pitch shift, all with full undo & redo functions.

Advanced Audio Editing direct on the Arrange Window. The Time-stretch pencil can be used to directly match the tempo of audio segments on the Arrange Window: Touch any part, and drag its end position, and the audio is automatically adjusted to suit.
