Based on M-Audio's award-winning preamp technology, the Octane is an 8-channel preamp that delivers pristine digital signals to all Lightpipe-compatible devices, providing an exceptional front end to any multitrack digital recording system. Octane is ideal for miking drum kits or bands, and its two mic/instrument channels are perfect for guitar, bass and other instruments. M-S matrix encoding brings stereo miking techniques previously available only in pro studios within the reach of project and home studio owners. Octane even has preamp outs for each channel, making it the perfect upgrade for any digital audio interface or mixer. Word clock I/O provides the ability to sync multiple Octanes to accommodate the needs of a growing studio.
