The Akai Professional MPC2500 Music Production Center combines a 64-Track MIDI
Sequencer with a 32-voice 16bit Stereo Digital Sampler. The MPC is a rock solid sequencing and drum programming machine with 16 velocity and pressure sensitive rubber pads. The unit allows you to sample more efficiently. This composition center is contained in one extremely powerful desktop unit.

Overall:
 Well built, nice layout, and most importantly works just like a 2000 series. Everything you could hope for in a 2000XL is found in the 2500.
Usability:
 The sampler is the production center of my setup so the 2500 fits features compliment my creative productivity.
Sounds:
 The usual nice mpc sound with the option of resampling to get a nice dirt sound.
Build quality:
 Fairly rugged, moslty metal but has plastic protection in keys areas that is replaceable. Pretty solid!
