Similar to the legendary DT 880 we introduced the DT 990 as an object of cult for the future. Even though a top headphone like the original DT 990 can be hardly improved, we further improved the technical details and implemented new features to meet today's expectations.

The comfortable headband design as well as the transducer technology are adopted from its professional brother - the DT 990 Pro, which has been awarded in many test reports of specialist magazines. The new DT 990 surely is the result of decades of experience and continuing development of headphone technology. This open headphone features a pleasant sound and brilliant bass. It offers a spherical sound experience that allows you to listen in detail to all the various instruments in an orchestra without missing the acoustic feeling of a concert hall. This unique sound will inspire you and the low headband pressure in combination with the soft padded headband ensure highest comfort. The soft ear pads can be replaced. The single-sided cable gives you maximum freedom of movement.
