Taking the lead in addressing the need for versatility and affordability in a professional recording environment, Sony Electronics' Professional Audio Group offers the DTC-A6 digital audio tape deck. Capable of recording analog sources in a 44.1kHz sampling frequency, the DTC-A6 can also record in 48kHz and 32kHz LP modes, and offers both coaxial and optical digital I/Os.

"The DTC-A6 is our most affordable DAT deck designed for various pro and home studio applications," said Courtney Spencer, vice president of professional audio for Sony Electronics' Business and Professional Group. "DAT is arguably the most universal 2-channel format for professional recording and sound. The DTC-A6 addresses the need for a machine that offers great sound and features at an affordable price."

Weighing approximately 11 Ibs., the DTC-A6 comes with a rack-mount adapter and a wireless remote commander (the RM-D9). The unit's analog input/output features an unbalanced RCA pin, while the digital input/output is IEC 958 Type 2 (coaxial/optical).
