PreSonus introduces Studio One Pro 7 DAW software

PreSonus has unveiled Studio One Pro 7, the most advanced version of its digital audio workstation (DAW) to date. Studio One Pro 7 seamlessly integrates music production, mixing, mastering, and live performance into a single platform, providing creators with powerful tools for any stage of music creation. With over 30 new features, this update introduces advanced production tools, significant workflow enhancements, and extensive sound libraries designed to inspire creativity.

Among the most exciting new features are AI-powered Stem Separation, which allows users to isolate individual stems from existing audio tracks, and the first-of-its-kind integration with Splice, a leading platform for royalty-free sounds and samples. The dynamic Integrated Launcher also enables real-time arrangement creation, while the Deep Flight One™ virtual instrument offers cutting-edge soundscapes and textures. Studio One Pro 7 is crafted for producers, musicians, and beat makers, combining speed, convenience, and innovative technology to set a new standard in music production.

Arnd Kaiser, General Manager at PreSonus, highlighted the importance of community collaboration, stating, “For 15 years, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with our Studio One creators. Studio One Pro 7 is the result of years of research, development, and collaboration with musicians and audio professionals.”

The integration with Splice is a groundbreaking feature in Studio One Pro 7. It enables users to search, preview, and incorporate millions of samples from Splice’s catalog directly into the DAW. Through “Search with Sound,” creators can easily find sounds that match the key and tempo of their project, driving a more seamless creative experience. Splice CEO Kakul Srivastava praised this integration as a significant step toward enhancing creativity through AI-driven sound discovery.

Other standout features include:

  • AI-Powered Stem Separation: Easily un-mix audio into four separate tracks, isolating vocals, drums, and instruments for more precise production.
  • Integrated Launcher: A dynamic grid for audio and MIDI loops, allowing real-time arrangement and live performance capture, all integrated into the DAW’s timeline for quick content movement.
  • Deep Flight One™: A new virtual instrument delivering rich soundscapes and evolving textures ideal for ambient exploration.
  • Impact Drum Machine Enhancements: The integrated note editor now provides in-place access to pads and controls, streamlining pattern creation and sound editing.
  • Global Transpose and Advanced Tempo Detection: Easily change the key of a song and detect the original tempo of audio events, essential tools for creative flexibility.

With this release, PreSonus is also adopting a faster software release cycle, ensuring users receive new features multiple times a year. Additionally, Studio One Pro 7 is available at a lower price, offering perpetual licenses starting at $199.99, with flexible subscription plans for even greater accessibility.
