DIY controller / editor for the Yamaha FS1R

FM synthesis specialist Robert Skerjanc has built a controller and editor for the Yamaha FS1R. The basis of this controller is Eurorack, 196 HP to be precise, and all modules were built by Robert himself.

The FS1R is a great synthesizer, but because of the many menus and its small display, it is not attractive to program the Yamaha. This controller changes all that.

The controller is not for sale, so for now Robert has built it for himself. But he does not exclude the possibility that, if there is sufficient interest, a small edition can be manufactured.

An extensive interview with Robert about his controller can be found on Amazona.de

That controller is an amazing achievement and what the FS1R should have been. Surprised though to not see a joystick. My FS1R responds fantastically to the joystick on my wavestate. no midi mapping required
