Designed for live use on stage – These probably world’s smallest DJ-controllers are designed for live use on the stage. All Faderfox controllers are professionally manufactured in series in Germany, ensuring high quality. The 3rd generation brings a lot of new features like USB connection, better controls, access to four decks, access to four FX slots and much more.
Livid’s very own product specialist Mike Abb shot a video recently of DJ/Producer Elliot Lipp explaining how he uses his Ohm64. Elliot’s live performance is centered around his Ohm64 and in this video he lets you in on some of his performance secrets using Ableton Live. After the tutorial there is a section of his live performance from a recent show in Austin, Texas that was filmed at Aces Lounge. What’s particularly cool about the performance video is how he uses the launchpad as a mouse of sorts for his live set.

Dicer was designed by Novation in collaboration with Ean Golden – DJ and curator of DJ Tech Tools. Ean came up with the concept of a controller that fits on the turntable, and his contribution has been crucial in helping Novation design and develop Dicer. Developed with Serato, this palm-sized cue point and looping controller has been designed to fit exactly where you need it: on your turntables, CDJs, mixer or laptop. Dicer always ships in pairs – one for each side. Although Dicer has been designed to integrate with Serato, it also works with other DJ software. Setup files for Traktor Scratch and Traktor Scratch Pro are available online at www.novationmusic.com.
Dicer provides compact Cue Point and Looping control for the digital DJ. Locking straight into the Technics SL 1200 series’ 45-adapter hole, the two Dicers place backlit soft-touch ‘dice’ buttons right where they’re needed – on the decks, just inches away from the vinyl.

After the Big Tease from Propellerheads this week, Novation steps up to the plate and is starting their own Big Tease. And about the looks of it, it will be quite interesting. Will Novation step into the DJ market with a DJ controller? The teaser image below is from the Novation website. A professional DJ controller with integrated, high quality soundcard. That’s a way to describe the new Allen&Heath Xone:DX. But that would be missing a whole lot of points of the digital DJ system that Allen&Heath and Serato co-developed.
