MixVibes VFX CONTROL released
On October 29th, MixVibes presented its new VFX CONTROL Video-DJ solution at the MixVibes 10 years’ event. The unveiling of the product was supported by 3 performances, including a 1 hour performance by world-acclaimed DJ Zebra. After premiering his Video-DJ performance, DJ Zebra said “VFX Control is a blast! I’m only a few days into using VFX CONTROL, and am already able to bring all the visual inspirations I have collected over the past few years into my [Video-DJ] set!”
Audient Zen Demo reaches mainland Europe
Audient’s high resolution mixing console Zen will travel to mainland Europe next month, to be featured in demonstrations at Maarten’s Sound & Vision and DADA studio in Brussels on 14th and 15th December respectively.
Akai MPK88 now shipping
The MPK88 performance keyboard controller is now shipping to retailers. The MPK88 features a fully weighted, hammer-action keyboard with assignable keyboard split and after-touch.

MixMeister software isn’t quite like anything else on the market. Steinberg CI2 Driver Patch and Extension Now Available
Steinberg has been receiving reports of individual CI2 users encountering random noise bursts during playback/recording. This issue which occurred when applying certain software settings was examined and has now been fixed. The driver patch plus extension is available in the support section of the Steinberg site.
SPL releases the Vitalizer Analog Code Plug-in
German manufacturer SPL enhances its Analog Code plug-in series with its Vitalizer sound optimizing processor. The plug-in is based upon the Vitalizer MK2-T and will be released as VST, AU, RTAS and TDM plug-in for MAC and PC.

MOTU has announced the UltraLite MK3 Hybrid, the world’s first hybrid FireWire/USB2 audio interface for Mac and Windows.
Limited edition of the Akai MPC: the MPC2500SE
New Akai “Special Edition” MPC2500 released at the recent Music Fair in Japan (very similar to the MPC2500LE “Limited Edition” produced last year by Akai for Guitar Centre in the US, which was a limited run of 500 units), though the display is now blue (rather than green) and the gold, edition badge showing “XXX of 500” is replaced with a silver one which reads “MPC2500 Special Edition”. Other features include the DVD drive option included as standard as is the full 128MB of RAM.
First look: Vestax SPIN DJ Controller with algoriddim djay Software
Vestax has teamed up with software maker Algoriddim to produce an entry level all-in-one digital DJ controller, SPIN. This controller will be sold exlusively in Apple stores throughout the US and Canada: http://www.djay-software.com. We have no information if SPIN will be available Europe as well in the future.
