Teenage Engineering OP-1 Display Test

Yesterday we introduced you to the OP-1. A combination between a controller and a synth, at this moment in full development by Teenage Engineering. The video below shows the display development test. According to Teenage Engineering themselves: “This is how the display will look like on the OP. It’s got extremely high PPI, the contrast is crazy, and according to myself, the gfx is bananas!” Watching the video we think they aren’t far off.

Voxengo updates FREE audio plug-ins

A set of free Voxengo professional audio plug-ins were updated. These plug-ins can be loaded into any audio host application that conforms to the VST or AudioUnit plug-in specification. Plug-ins are compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista (32- and 64-bit) and Mac OS X 10.4.11 and above (Intel and PowerPC) computers (2 GHz dual-core or faster processor with at least 1 GB of system RAM recommended).

Prosoniq discontinues Windows products

Prosoniq announces that it will discontinue development of its Windows products starting June 1st, 2009. Existing Windows products will continued to be sold until that date, and updates will be available until the end of 2009. Users who wish to crossgrade from the latest version of their Windows product to the Mac counterpart can do so for free by contacting Prosoniq via its contact form.

SPL launches 5 new products at the Messe

SPL is the first manufacturer to open their proprietary modular system for API 500 compatible modules. “Our focus with the RackPack system has always been the modular idea, not a proprietary platform. It was great to find out that API is just as open-minded as we are to offer new choices for our customers.” says SPL’s CEO Hermann Gier. The new SPL RACKPACK 500 frame offers eight module slots to host four SPL and four API 500 modules.
