The MusikMesse show is over again, and we’ve spent some quality time in Frankfurt with all the gear lined up ready to play around with. This year’s show was different though, some major players decided not to show and you had to look a bit better to find out what was going on, but there was plenty of new and cool gear to see! Here’s an overview of what we thought was the coolest new gear around.
Allthough our main goal each year is to get all the scoops on new products to you as soon as possible, we do have eyes for other nice … (uhm) stuff too. At many booths on the Messe we get a very warm welcome by very nice and friendly hostesses. Here are a few of our favorits (with all the respect these ladies deserve of course!).

Quite Nyce is a man who needs a complete solution that he can take on the road, so when he got a sneak peak of SONAR V-studio 100 last month he described his reaction as speechless. Another rumour that showed to be untrue. Teenage Engineering OP-1 is not a April First hoax. Yesterday we read that some thought it was a hoax, but again the pictures shows us it is for real. However, the OP-1 is still in development and will not be released for this year.
One of the first new products that caught our eyes at this years MusikMesse was the DBeat from Openlabs. A workstation without keys this time. Like the other workstations a large display shows the info you need but the DBeat has 16 (17) pads instead of a keyboard. More details and information have to released, but we thought we would show it already, live and direct from the floors of the Messe.
