MAWZER presented their customizable midi controller at the MusikMesse in Frankfurt last week. The Mawzer is the only MIDI controller on the market allowing an infinite customizable combination of controls.

May you work in the Audio field or as a VJ, the MAWZER will help you do the job faster and easier. Simply plug *MODULES* in the Backplane, assign midi controls in your favorite software, and you’re ready to play.

The MAWZER is build with ruged materials,enclosed in a flight-case box for maximum reliability in your live experience. The revolutionary MODULAR concept of MAWZER is the key for an effective eDJ work. Change the configuration in seconds to adapt your studio project or live situation, day afer day.


Quick overview:

- 32 modules slots (ex 128 pots max.)

- 8 different modules to choose from

- MIDI and USB connections

- MTC and midiclock generation

- large LCD display

- integrated universal power supply

- any module combination will work


List of available modules:

- POT : 4 potentiometers

- FAD : 1 fader 10cm

- ENC : 4 encoders

- BUT : 4 buttons w/Led

- XFD : 1 DJ crossfader (6cm) + 2 buttons

- TCH : Touchpad (5*4cm) + 2 buttons w/Led

- KBD : 12 buttons (BankChange style)

- VUM : Stereo Vu-meter


More details aren't available yet, but naturally we will follow The Mawzer and its unique customizing concept closely. As soon we have more information we will let you know. The Mawzer is expected to be released in the 2nd quarter of this year.

Update 27th april:

We have gotten some more information on pricing of the Mawzer Modular Midi Controller. Prices start at 550 euro for an empty controller box (no modules). The seperate modules range from 20 to 45 euro (60 to 140 euro for a set of 4 modules).


Translated into two EXAMPLE configurations:

- 16 Channel Mixer configuration will cost around 970 euros:

* 1 empty box - 550 euro

* 12 potentio meters - 180 euro

* 16 faders - 180 euro

* 4 buttons with leds - 60 euro


- DJ Mix configuration will cost around 1035 euro:

* 1 empty box - 550 euro

* 1 touchpad - 40 euro

* 1 button with led - 20 euro

* 1 DJ crossfader - 20 euro

* 1 stereo VU meter - 20 euro

* 6 faders - 100 euro

* 6 encoders - 130 euro

* 6 potentio meters - 100 euro

* 2 buttons (blank keys) - 50 euro
