Tascam took the oportunity to introduce several new products for this year at the NAMM. Amongst others they revealed the US-800 8×4 Mobile USB 2.0 Audio Interface, LM-8ST 8 Stereo Channel Line Mixer and the MH-8 8-channel Headphone Amplifier.
The lightweight US-800 from TASCAM adds great-sounding multichannel recording to your laptop, with eight inputs and four outputs for capturing dynamic soundscapes and performances. Six XLR microphone inputs each have phantom power for attaching your finest condenser microphones, and premium 192kHz/24-bit audio converters record every detail.
The US-800 includes S/PDIF digital audio in and out as well as MIDI in and out for linking up to your studio. The rugged, lightweight package is ideal for mobile or desktop recording. For great-sounding multi-mic recording, the US-800 packs an incredible amount of features into an interface you can bring anywhere.
TASCAM’s MH-8 is the ultimate headphone amplifier for studio, stage and installation. Each of the eight stereo outputs gets 250mW per side with three switchable sources available. Two stereo inputs can be shared to any of the outputs, and individual stereo direct inputs are available for each of the eight channels.
A headphone out can select any one of these inputs, or mix several together. A set of foldback outputs allow you to chain other MH-8s into a system. For the ultimate in routing flexibility and power, nothing beats the MH-8 headphone amp from TASCAM.
The TASCAM LM-8ST is a 1-space rackmountable line mixer for installation, studio submixing, keyboardists or anyone looking for a great-sounding mix. Eight pairs of balanced 1/4″ TRS inputs – switchable from +4 or -10dB – can be bussed to a pair of XLR balanced outputs, labeled ST1 and ST2/AUX.
Pre or post-fader bussing is available for the alternate buss, and master output level controls and metering keep signals under control. A microphone input is also provided for announcements or performance. Packed with high-quality audio components, the TASCAM LM-8ST is perfect for any live performance or installation.
