Pioneer releases new Serato DJ Controller – DJ-SR

Well, Pioneer has been busy lately. After the DDJ-SP1 and DJM-900SRT for Serato, they now introduce the DJ-SR controller. With the launch of the mid-range Digital DJ-SR, Pioneer is putting intuitive control of Serato DJ software in the hands of even more DJs. This new device is a two-channel controller with the new PAD PLUS performance feature.

Serato DJ Support

Like the top flight, four-channel Digital DJ-SX (model name DDJ-SX), the DDJ-SR comes with a free download of Serato DJ and an inbuilt Serato sound card. So DJs can get straight to business, with dedicated controls for features including Hot Cues, samples and high-quality FX Powered by iZotope.

The DDJ-SR adds a fun, physical element to performance thanks to features such as the rubber LED Performance Pads – which enable DJs to trigger Hot Cue, Slicer, Roll and Sampler mode, and control the volume of samplers with how hard they hit the pads.

The new PAD PLUS button on the DDJ-SR delivers another layer of control to the Performance Pads – enabling DJs to trigger multiple FX with one button, and automatically sync samples and Hot Cues to the beat.

More features inherited from Pioneer’s pro-range include large, low-latency jog wheels and Slip Mode – which silently continues track playback during loop, scratches and reverses, bringing the music back in the right place when the DJ is done.

The DDJ-SR has been built to withstand the rigors of the booth; yet it’s stylish design and compact size make it an affordable addition to any set up.

The Pioneer DDJ-SR, bundled with Serato DJ, is available from September at an SRP of EUR 503 excl. VAT.
