Rob announced that the development of his new plugin RP-Verb is in its final stages. Beta testing is next. A release would be possible later this month, depending on the beta test of course. RP-Verb will not be a ‘convolution reverb’. This reverb is based on a new algorithm by RCPX (Rob Papen and Jon Ayres). What we know already is that it gives the processed audio a surprisingly warm sound and new types of colouring. The string machine (also called string ensemble or string synth) was invented by ken freeman in 1970 as an attempt to replicate the sound of orchestral strings. It was so successful that it shortly became beloved instrument in its own right.
This update contains many bug fixes essential for the now-shipping Metal Foundry SDX. This new expansion pack will not function properly with previous versions of Superior Drummer and is therefore required. It also features a number of improvements to preset management and comes therefore highly recommended to all users (with and without SDX in their arsenal).
