Novation about to change the game!

After the Big Tease from Propellerheads this week, Novation steps up to the plate and is starting their own Big Tease. And about the looks of it, it will be quite interesting. Will Novation step into the DJ market with a DJ controller? The teaser image below is from the Novation website. The mixer used in the picture is from Rane so that gives a hint directed to the DJ market. And that’s about all we can tell you. But that would be missing a whole lot of points of the digital DJ system that Allen&Heath and Serato co-developed. The Xone:DX controller in combination with Serato Itch software is a professional and robust system for the Digital DJ. As a vinyl-DJ with relative extreme little Digital DJ experience, I’ve got the opportunity to check out the Xone:DX and write up my first impressions!

Benelux Ableton VIP event in Rotterdam

Media Satellite, Ableton and Rotterdam Pop Academy (a division of Codarts) present an Ableton VIP event in Rotterdam. The event will feature workshops, master classes and showcases of Very Important Projects, and is strictly limited to 150 attendees. Throughout the day, there will be classes and demonstrations of new technologies, focusing on smart ways to use Ableton Live in music production, sound design, live performance, DJing and AV art projects.

iPad release 28th may – Europe is NEXT

Almost two months after it’s official US release, Europe is finally next. iPad™ will be available in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the UK on Friday, May 28. Customers can pre-order all iPad models from Apple’s online store in all nine countries beginning on Monday, May 10. In the US, Apple has already sold over one million iPads and customers have downloaded over 12 million apps from the App Store, as well as over 1.5 million ebooks from the new iBookstore.
