These are the releases we have encountered this week on the Loops and Samples front. Just like the quality of the audio software we use these days the quality of the content we use (loops and samples) equally matches the high standards of this software. Below is this weeks selection.
Following Korg earlier today Yonac Software is pleased to announce the release of the miniSynth PRO for the iPad. Conceived and designed by the same team behind the original synth and the theremin for the iPhone OS, miniSynth PRO is a completely new, cutting-edge sound engine crafted especially, and deployed only, for the iPad platform.
It seems that KORG is (yet again) the first manufacturer to release an iPad dedicated instrument, the iElectribe. With this app Korg emulated the ELECTRIBE hardware interface into software, with preset management via a standard iPad-style menu.
AmpliTube 3.0.1 update is now available with 27 improvements that includes new features, popular user requests, and corrections. AmpliTube 3, IK Multimedia’s massive upgrade of the leading Guitar Amp & FX modeling software, has been updated with new features for a better user experience and overall performance.
Here it is, … our final MusikMesse post. This year (like the previous ones) we shot a lot of pictures and video footage. Not everything ended up in a post on Gearjunkies. But we thought we could compile most of the video footage and make a MusikMesse Tour to give you a short impression of the Messe this year. loophole is a midi-triggered loop sampler, which allows you play sections of up to 4 different loops using midi notes to control which section of which loop plays. This can be a great way to mash up 4 different loop styles or add quick variations on 4 similar loops. As well as having full control of which sections to play, you can also trigger random sections too (well this is a de la Mancha plugin!).

Wusik has released version 6.0 of Wusik Station. The new installer now comes with all previous Wusik Sound Magazine sounds, all converted to the new WusikSND 16-bit compressed file format, which loads up faster and takes less space. All organized and in a much easier way to install. A total of 15 GB of Sounds, compressed into a 7.5 GB installer.
PreSonus announced version 1.5 of its Studio One™ DAW software. This major free update adds so many important features and enhancements that the company decided to skip the previously planned version 1.1 and go directly to this more advanced version.
Yesterday we got the press release from Apple that the iPad will be available from saturday on. However only in selected countries, so we probably have to wait a few more months in Europe. But, that said, we have already seen a few manufacturers developing control app’s for DAW’s.
