Logic-courses.com is the latest joint venture from sample boutique Loopmasters and online music production academy Producertech LTD, it is a new website which features two online Logic video courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced level students, which has been designed and delivered by our qualified trainer Rob Jones. The concept of this new website is to allow students of all abilities and locations to login and study online whenever they choose, getting professional instruction and support as modules are delivered.

Carlo Castellano is a professional session keyboard player (piano, organ, synthesizers and programming) with both studio and live experience. As a composer and sound designer he works on short films, documentaries and video games. I came across this video on Vimeo and immediately loved. it. Not only because I am a big fan of Daft Punk, but also because Carlo just did a fantastic job recreating the sounds of the original Aerodynamic track. All in all this is just a great video, really something for the weekend!

Like its 16-channel sibling, the 24-channel StudioLive 24.4.2 is designed for both studio recording and live sound, without compromising the requirements for either. StudioLive 24.4.2 sports the same friendly user interface, robust feature set, and extensive I/O configuration as the StudioLive 16.4.2 but with several significant additions and enhancements. The most obvious difference is that the new mixer provides 24 input channels, rather than 16. As with the 16.4.2, each input features a trim pot, XLR mic input with XMAX™ mic preamp, 1/4-inch TRS balanced line inputs and unbalanced insert points. Like the 16.4.2, the StudioLive 24.4.2 offers 4 subgroup outputs, but where the 16-channel model offers 6 aux buses, the 24.4.2 provides 10 aux buses.

The guys from SourceDistributionTV packed their camera and went to talk to Bernard Butler. Well known as the guitarist of Suede, McAlmont & Butler, and producer of numerous artists including Duffy and The Libertines, he is a user of the Universal Audio UAD2 Quad Card. They headed to Bernard’s little custom studio to talk about how he’s found working with UAD2, his musical processes, the music industry and the state of music, and how he wrote one of his greatest songs…
