Radikal Technologies introduces Accelerator

The Accelerator is a polyphonic Synthesizer with eight powerful subtractive voices. Each voice consists of three oscillators, two multimode filters, 6 envelope generators, three voice LFOs and one section LFO. An additional noise source with independent multimode filtering and variable signal routing has been added for more sonic flexibility. MuseBox soundset announced

Muse Research and Development has announced an agreement with Ultimate Sound Bank to provide sounds for the upcoming MuseBoxTM, a highly versatile Musical Instrument and Effects Box, being co-developed between Muse Research and Peavey Electronics. Ultimate Sound Bank will provide the core, pre-installed sound set for the device that includes all the essential keyboard sounds required by the gigging musician, as well as expansion sound sets that will be sold to customers both on-line and at retail. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Tour of Vince Clarks studio – Analogue Gear Heaven

Via a post of Tara Busch (AnalogueSuicide), we came across this awesome video from Motherboard TV of their visit to the studio of Synthpop Legend Vince Clarke. He’s famous for founding three of the most popular and lasting musical acts in history: Depeche Mode, Yazoo and Erasure. Vince nowadays lives in the woods of Main (USA). He shows us his synth temple called, appropriately, The Cabin!

MFB releases Urzwerg and Nanozwerg

MFB Berlin have just released two new products. The new step-sequencer URZWERG is a universal control-central for KRAFTZWERG, SCHLAGZWERG as well as for future ZWERG models. NANOZWERG is a full-featured monophonic analogue synthesizer. With VCO, an additional sub-oscillator and its 12dB-slope-multimodefilter, NANOZWERG offers multiple bass- and lead-sounds.

Elektron Octatrack? Is it, would it, could it be?

In our Messe preview we have talked already on the possibity of a new Elektron machine glooming at the horizon. For weeks the Elektron forums are buzzing with rumours and ideas. The new product would probably getting its introduction at the coming Messe next week. Elektron have covered themselves in mystery and are replying with the appropriate “no comment”. However … the video below shows us someone making buttons (for the Messe?) that reveals the name of an unknown Elektron product: the OCTATRACK! Be sure to watch the video till the very end by the way…
