GForce impOSCar goes Universal Binary

Hot on the heels of the M-Tron Universal Binary update comes the impOSCar! It has been a huge job for GMedia to roll out Universal Binary editions of their amazing soft synth range, but the company are now on a roll and here is number two!

After the successful M-Tron roll out, the UB update to impOSCar will be available tomorrow, 28th March. This amazing and quirky soft synth is modelled on the very popular British OSCar synth that was used by the likes of Ultravox, Jean-Michel Jarre, Orbital, Underworld and Stevie Wonder.

Awards have been heaped on the synth by the music technology press and it has received (deep breath) Future Music’s Platinum Award, Electronic Musician’s Best Software Emulation & Editor’s Choice Award, Computer Music’s Editor’s Choice & Performance Award. Music Tech Magazine’s Recommended Award and Keyboard Magazine’s Key Buy Award. Phew! It has also remained the top rated commercial plug-in instrument for well in excess of a year at KvR Audio.

The UB update will become available on 28th March and is free to users who purchased and registered their instrument after the 1st October 2006. For these users the instrument has automatically been allocated to their accounts at the GForce website.

If you purchased your impOSCar before 1st October 2006, you will need to update to the Universal ImpOSCar via the shop at a very reasonable price of £13.99 (plus VAT), €19.99 (plus VAT) or $26.00.
