More news from Numark

Numark has launched a new version of their web site. The new site features blogs, forums, news stories, all-new instructional videos and a greatly improved interface. Furthermore they announce the bundling of MixMeister EZ Vinyl Converter 2 for vinyl-to-digital conversion that includes Gracenote song lookup technology. The new version will ship with Numark’s TTUSB and TTXUSB turntables for streamlined conversion of vinyl. And lastly they are now shipping the industry’s first DJ mixing console with Universal Dock for iPod, that features the ability to scratch, control pitch, key lock, and simultaneously play two songs from a single iPod with a stunning full color screen, the iDJ2.

Most prominent on the list of improvements to Numark’s web site is a completely redesigned interface. Users can create their own account online to manage their Numark online experience. Numark products can now be found easier than ever thanks to the inclusion of product-specific pages that contain all the details, features, videos, FAQs and support for that product.

The new site also features blogs from the latest from some of the hottest performers using Numark gear including X:144, DJ Wiz, KJ Toqer, and Jazzy Jay. The Numark blogs discuss topics like: Making wild, innovative videos with NuVJ, vinyl hunting tips, video mix parties at M1-5 lounge in New York, karaoke at the 7 Bamboo, in San Jose, and using the Numark TTX in live performances.

The Numark iDJ2 is the only iPod mixing console that provides music control with real-time scratching, pitch control, seamless loop, and full cueing. For the first time ever, DJs can entertain crowds of all sizes with a single, docked iPod using pro-grade, balanced XLR or stereo RCA output, all with a brilliantly clear color screen that insures they never miss a detail.

The iDJ2 features an innovative new iPod docking system that allows users to play two songs simultaneously from a single iPod, without the need of a computer. With iDJ2, DJs can hook up multiple mass storage devices including additional iPods, thumb drives, and
external USB hard drives through rear panel USB ports. In addition to USB connectivity with iPod docking and charging, the iDJ2 comes complete with line inputs for any audio source including a microphone, CD players and turntables, making it one of the most flexible DJ products ever produced.

A special iPod Direct Mode function allows users to play all iPod-supported music including songs purchased from the iTunes music store. Numark’s iDJ2 is available now with a suggested list price of $799 and an approximate street price of $599.

EZ Vinyl Converter 2 is a follow-up to the original EZ Vinyl Converter (now called EZ Vinyl Converter Lite). The new version includes technology from Gracenote that connects to the Internet and locates song, album, artist, and other important information and automatically fills in the ID3 tag information during the vinyl-to-digital conversion. This means that in just a few mouse clicks, Numark users can convert loads of vinyl tracks directly into iTunes.

“EZ Vinyl Converter is simply the fastest, easiest way to get vinyl into iTunes.” Stated Dave Sampson, Marketing Director for MixMeister. “There have been other software programs included with turntables, but typically they are more focused on editing. EZ Vinyl Converter 2 takes the guesswork and hassle out of bringing old recordings into the MP3 format.”

EZ Vinyl Converter 2 will be available as a free download for Numark TTUSB and TTXUSB owners within the next 30 days. Users of the current EZ Vinyl Converter are eligible for a free upgrade via download once version 2 is available. Those without Numark turntables who want to purchase EZ Vinyl Converter 2 may do so for $10.00 U.S. once it is available online.
