Delora gbRemote iPhone application adds mobility to Garageband

Harmony Systems announced the worldwide availability of Delora gbRemote, an application for the iPhone or iPod touch that functions as a remote controller for Apple’s GarageBand music application for the Mac. gbRemote is a complementary product to the Delora gbTouch for GarageBand app for the iPad, and offers a subset of key features tailored for iPhone/iPod touch users.

Features & Benefits
gbRemote emulates GarageBand‘s most frequently used transport functions – Play, Record, Back, Forward, Beginning and Loop – as well as Master Volume control and Mute. View all tracks in a song, select a new current track, and change individual mute and solo track attributes – all while away from the confines of computer and mouse.  All controls are sized for easy touch accuracy and visibility.

gbRemote automatically adjusts its layout for best viewing and functionality in both landscape and portrait orientations. In portrait mode, all controls are easily accessed with one hand.

Besides supplementing the use of mouse and keyboard to control GarageBand, gbRemote also serves as a ‘control surface’ for GarageBand. It makes music creation more productive and allows control of GarageBand from anywhere in the studio within Wi-Fi coverage. This flexibility is particularly valuable in recording situations.

gbLink Makes it Happen
gbRemote requires the installation of gbLink 2.0.1, a small OSX application, on a Mac. gbLink provides the ability for gbRemote to communicate with GarageBand using a Wi-Fi network.

Pricing & Availability
gbRemote is available for $2.99 on the App Store.  gbLink, required for gbRemote operation, is free and available for download on the gbRemote product page at the Delora website, www.delora.com.
