Minilogue combining hardware with Ableton Live – Video

For Minilogue, emotional and mental organization plays an essential role in the compositional process. At their studio, surrounded by serene nature outside of Malmö, Sweden, the duo of Sebastian Mullaert and Markus Henriksson compose their lush, evolving techno suites with a variety of hardware and software – with Ableton Live at the center of each musician’s setup. In the video below, Sebastian gives us an overview of Minilogue’s technology.

Minilogue’s music is driven by emotion and purpose – listening to the their latest album, Blomma, one encounters luxurious track times (the longest topping out at over 45 minutes) with beautiful, dynamic directions.

As Human As Possible

Sebastian Mullaert and Markus Henriksson invited Ableton to visit them at their studio, in the pristine Swedish countryside outside Malmö, to get an insight into their collaboration and studio craft. There is a documentary in which you can learn more about how the two artists confront their thoughts and emotions, before entering a determined and aesthetic state for the studio jams from which their releases are harvested. Watch ‘As Human As Possible’ here.
