Algoriddim releases djay Pro for Mac OSX

Algoriddim today released djay Pro, the first professional version of djay for the desktop. djay Pro includes a suite of sophisticated features and an innovative interface that allows DJs to take their performances to the next level. djay Pro is the first DJ software on the desktop with Spotify integration giving DJs access to over 20 million tracks instantly.

Built exclusively for OS X, djay Pro takes full advantage of the desktop’s computing power including 64-bit processing, multi-core track analysis, support for Retina and 5K displays, graphics rendering at 60 frames per second, and pristine sound quality. djay Pro combines rock-solid stability with unrivalled performance, delivering a powerful, dependable solution which performing DJs rely on.

“I’m thrilled to unveil the most sophisticated version of djay we have ever made,” said Karim Morsy, CEO of Algoriddim. “djay Pro opens a new chapter for DJs, bringing Spotify to the desktop and offering the simplicity and stability of our platform to millions of professional and aspiring DJs alike.”

At the heart of djay Pro is an innovative, modern user interface that provides flexible layers of functionality alongside a powerful music library into a single window interface. It combines djay’s Apple Design Award winning turntable view that renders true record grooves on the virtual vinyl with more advanced modes including horizontal and vertical colored waveforms, live sampler and drum pads, FX racks, as well as a powerful four deck view that allows DJs to play, mix and synchronize up to four tracks simultaneously.

The all-new music library in djay Pro enables DJs to seamlessly combine their Spotify tracks from the cloud along with their local iTunes tracks into a single library. This provides unprecedented flexibility for song selection to DJs no matter where their music is located. Moreover, the new music library adds powerful features to help DJs work more efficiently, including persistent history and queue, inline search, instant preview, an innovative song recommendation engine powered by The Echo Nest, and versatile track sorting features. Users can even save and edit their Spotify playlists directly within djay Pro allowing them to manage their sets easily and efficiently.

Over 30 new state-of-the-art audio effects by Sugar Bytes are available via In-App Purchase. DJs can beat-synchronize and chain multiple effect units on up to four decks simultaneously allowing for unprecedented creative expression.

djay Pro integrates seamlessly with existing professional DJ hardware. In addition to supporting over 50 MIDI controllers by Pioneer, Numark, Reloop, and other manufacturers out of the box, djay Pro also includes an advanced MIDI Learn system. It enables users to map each hardware control on their device to individual actions in djay Pro and customize their setup to match their style and performance needs.

Cue Points, beat grid edits, meta data and FX purchases from iOS versions of djay will automatically sync over iCloud to djay Pro bridging the experience between mobile and desktop. DJs can now prepare for their DJ sets no matter where they are and no matter which device they are using.

Over the past 8 years, Algoriddim established itself as a leading innovator of DJ software winning the Apple Design Award in 2011. Working with top tier hardware brands, Algoriddim has made DJing accessible to millions of users around the globe. djay Pro opens a new chapter for professional DJs as the world’s first DJ solution on the desktop to offer a native Spotify integration.

djay Pro works on any Mac running OS X 10.9 or later and is now available on the Mac App Store for a time-limited, introductory price of $49.99 (instead of its regular price of $79.99).
