Ableton teams up with Cycling74

Cycling ’74 and Ableton to Codevelop New Products – The world of creative media software tools is about to get a lot more interesting. More RME audio solutions for PCI-Express

RME Synthax Audio AG announce to further expand their ‘e’-line of Hammerfall recording solutions for the PCI-Express bus found in current Apple OS and Windows based desktop computers. After the presentation of the HDSPe PCI-Card on NAMM, RME shows the new HDSPe MADI card and debuts the next PCI-Express solution HDSPe 9632.

Version 1.8 of Melodyne Essential released

Celemony Software is pleased to announce the release of Version 1.8 of the bundled edition of Melodyne: Melodyne essential. This offers new playback algorithms as well as a number of bugfixes and improvements of detail. The update will be available for download free of charge by all registered users of Melodyne essential from the end of April onwards.

Next Logic Pro …. Logic Pro X?

We reported earlier this year that Apple was not planning on releasing Logic Pro 8. Rumours stated that instead Apple was working on another package that would be a Protools Killer application. As the new application probably will be based on OSX Leopard, a name would be Logic Pro X. Speculations are this new application will incorporate a touch screen interface and use a new musical instrument that Apple has patented. Furthermore the GUI is greatly improved and the overall workflow should be much better.
