Sony releases Sound Forge 9

Sony Creative Software today announced an upgrade to their Sound Forge professional digital audio editing application to version 9. The industry leading Sound Forge software has been a tool of choice among media professionals for more than a decade and is now the cornerstone application in their new digital audio production suite, which provides users with all of the essential tools for recording, editing, enhancing, processing, and encoding digital audio along with the capabilities to create and burn Red Book standard audio CDs.

New d.pro Series DJ Mixers from Mackie

To meet the needs of a changing DJ and music production landscape, Mackie is proud to unveil its new d.pro Series of DJ Production Consoles with FireWire I/O. Ken Macbeth intros the new M5N

At the recent Musikmesse Ken Macbeth introduced the improved M5, the M5N. There have been some refinements in this design of the M5N instrument including yet further tightening of the of the transistor based Envelope Generators, on the ‘FAST’ setting, the Attack/Decay/Release parameters have been shortened by some milliseconds to produce the snappiest envelopes to date.
