BTE Audio announces AEQ1 American Console Equalizer Algorithm

BTE Audio has developed AEQ1, a high performance digital equalization algorithm that simulates the sound and feel of the world-renowned American Mixing Consoles of the late 1960s. With its proprietary topology, the AEQ1 algorithm simultaneously achieves both absolute sonic accuracy and extremely high processing efficiency.

Targeted at desktop and embedded professional audio applications, the AEQ1 algorithm will enable quality-conscious third-parties to incorporate the highly revered American EQ sound into their products.

AEQ1 American Console Equalizer Algorithm features three bands and a band-pass filter which have the following specifications:
* Low Frequency Shelving/Peaking: Selectable filter type: Shelving or Peaking. Five selectable center frequencies: 50Hz, 100Hz, 200Hz, 300Hz and 400Hz. The amount of boost or attenuation is continuously variable from -12 dB to 12 dB.
* Mid Frequency Peaking: Five selectable center frequencies: 400Hz, 800Hz, 1.5kHz, 3kHz and 5kHz. The amount of boost or attenuation is continuously variable from -12 dB to 12 dB.
* High Frequency Shelving/Peaking: Selectable filter type: Shelving or Peaking. Five selectable center frequencies: 5kHz, 7kHz, 10kHz, 12.5kHz and 15kHz. The amount of boost or attenuation is continuously variable from -12 dB to 12 dB.
* Band Pass Filter: Fixed bandwidth: 50Hz to 15kHz. Independently insertable of all other bands.

Applications:
* Software Plug-ins
* Digital Audio Workstations
* Digital Mixing Consoles
* Hardware Effect Processors

Please note that AEQ1 Demo requires a WIBU Systems CodeMeter Stick and it is only available to well-established audio hardware and software manufacturers.
