Mixblendr open source remixing software

Mixblendr is the first open source audio editing and remixing software for the web. Mixblendr lets fans create remixes in real-time in a browser, and lets bands host their own remix competitions on their websites. It is easy to setup and it is free. Audient introduces new ZEN console at MusikMesse2009

At this years MusikMesse will introduce ZEN. It is a compact, classic analogue recording and mixing console. Dual inputs provide the mic/line input stage and the DAW return path, offering a flexible system for connecting to a DAW or stand alone recorder. With individual DAW record outputs, mono and stereo buses, auxes, a sophisticated monitor section and an optional digital output interface, Zen allows simple audio connection to the rest of the production set-up.

MOTU BPM version 1.01 is now shipping with significant new features

BPM version 1.01 is now available as a free, downloadable update for all registered BPM users. This is not just a “maintenance update”. Version 1.01 is loaded with significant new features, including the ability create slices in audio files that don’t have them yet, plus the ability to drag and drop slice loops onto a pad bank to automatically load loop slices into the pads.

Muse Research RECEPTOR 2 shipping

Muse Research has announced that it is now shipping the new, affordable version of their esteemed Receptor line. The new RECEPTOR 2 is a high-performance, super-stable dedicated hardware plug-in player that runs hundreds of virtual instruments and effects with the convenience and portability of dedicated hardware. AAS Strum Electric GS-1 coming soon

AAS will soon release Strum Electric GS-1, their electric guitar track production plug-in. Strum’s great strength comes from the fact that it combines the modeling of the guitar as well as the various playing techniques of a guitar player. It includes a nice collection of single coil- and humbucker-fitted classic guitars, a two-channel amplifier with spring reverb, a speaker cabinet, and effects all featured in a ready-made preset library.
