Native Instruments introduces Session Horns Pro

Native Instruments today introduced SESSION HORNS PRO – a major upgrade to the popular SESSION HORNS, offering 10 times the power, flexibility and detail of the original. SESSION HORNS PRO now provides users with an extended and comprehensive sample library of horn sounds, customizable horn sections of up to 6 instruments, and intelligent play modes for increased playability.

SESSION HORNS PRO’s highly detailed 30GB sample library comes with additional velocity layers, round robins and articulations. The instrument range is expanded to include three saxophones, two trombones, three trumpets, a tuba, and a flugelhorn. All instruments can be played solo or as a part of customizable horn sections. 38 horn section presets provide common section types from popular music, making the process of finding the right sound easy for users of every level.

SESSION HORNS PRO’s Animator feature is also boosted to include over 200 ready-to-play riffs – up to six phrases can be combined at once. The Smart Voice Split feature identifies the correct instrument for each note, providing authentic horn arrangements without needing sophisticated knowledge of arrangement techniques. 34 articulations, and added true vibrato samples deliver an exceptional level of authenticity throughout. The revamped mixer section also adds a new level in control over the final sound, both over individual instruments and via master effects such as compression, EQ, tape saturation, and a low-pass filter.

SESSION HORNS PRO was created in partnership with e-instruments – the specialists for intensely detailed sampled instruments. Thomas Koritke and his team have captured the clarity, sparkle, and liveliness of these horns in outstanding sound quality.
