UDO is thrilled to announce the release of the Super 6 keyboard instrument in an alternative white color, complementing the Super Gemini showcased at SUPERBOOTH23. The Super Gemini, introduced with great acclaim at the FEZ-Berlin trade fair in mid-May, is a 20-voice dual-layer polyphonic binaural analog-hybrid synthesizer with super-wave technology. Its meticulously designed control panel features a custom-engineered ribbon controller and a 61-note semi-weighted keybed with polyphonic aftertouch. The Super 6 will serve as UDO’s flagship product upon its release later this year. Additionally, a limited number of special-edition blue Super 6 desktop models, matching the blue keyboards, were showcased at SUPERBOOTH23 to commemorate this groundbreaking flagship instrument. This announcement was made on June 15.
The Super 6 keyboard instrument made a significant impact when it was first unveiled at SUPERBOOTH19 in Berlin, Germany. Originally available in black and blue color options, it revolutionized the concept of traditional analog synthesizers as a 12-voice polyphonic binaural analog-hybrid synthesizer with super-wave technology. Its advanced FPGA digital hardware oscillators combined with analog filters and amplifiers, along with the unique super-wavetable core, allowed for extensive sound shaping and modulation possibilities. The Super 6 offers a true stereo path, creating stunning stereo images with its twinned voices.
Recognizing that the 49-note Fatar keybed may not suit everyone’s preferences, UDO quickly responded with the Super 6 desktop model. This compact version retains the full features and exceptional sound quality of the Super 6 in an all-metal chassis. It includes convenient features such as VESA mount compliance, optional 7U rack ears, and sturdy flip-up feet. The Super 6 desktop model shares the same striking white color as UDO’s Super Gemini, the upcoming flagship instrument in the “Super” series.
To celebrate the launch of the Super Gemini, UDO is offering the white Super 6 keyboard and a limited number of special-edition blue Super 6 desktop models. These models perfectly match their respective keyboard counterparts. Alongside this release, UDO plans to introduce a firmware update to further enhance the Super 6 lineup.
