Waldorf introduces Iridium Core

Waldorf Music introduces Iridium Core, a compact synthesizer at the heart of the Iridium product line. This innovative device, building upon the success of its predecessor Iridium, offers exceptional portability without sacrificing power. Weighing only 2.2 kg and measuring 346 mm (W) x 200 mm (D) x 64 mm (H), Iridium Core is designed for musicians on the move, fitting into laptop bags and carry-on luggage.

Iridium Core boasts a full 12-voice polyphonic Iridium synth engine, including three oscillators with five synthesis models. The instrument’s deep modulation matrix and versatile effects section make it the most extensive hardware synthesizer available.

It features a 1024 x 600 touch screen, encoders, and intuitive user interface, ensuring easy sound parameter control. Iridium Core shares the pad matrix for programmable notes and macros with its predecessors. Additionally, it introduces four user-definable potentiometers for enhanced patch control.

Iridium Core is compatible with Iridium, Quantum, and Quantum MK2 and benefits from future firmware updates. Its connectivity options include MIDI, CV inputs, CLOCK In/Out, and standard audio connections.

Waldorf Music’s CTO, Rolf Wöhrmann, expresses pride in Iridium Core, a portable powerhouse that meets the demands of traveling musicians and studio setups. This compact synth is a testament to their commitment to innovation and exceptional sound.

The Iridium Core is available through Waldorf Music’s growing global network of distributors at an introductory promo price of €1,849.00 EUR
