Sneak preview of U-He Bazille, a new modular softsynth

Urs Heckmann, the man behind U-He, is working on Bazille, the first synth inside the upcoming Berlin Modular System. This synth combines FM-Synthesis, Phase Distortion and subtractive in a rack-like appearance. In the first video Urs is showing the layout and the basic oscillator functions of Bazille. Development is still full on, so a release should not be expected this year. Probably the MusikMesse next year will be a good moment for a release.

Native Instruments announces Partnership with Scarbee

Native Instruments today announced a close partnership with Scarbee, creator of highly renowned instrument libraries. In the future, sampling mastermind Thomas Hansen Skarbye will work directly with the team behind the industry-leading KONTAKT sampler on further software instruments that will offer the typical outstanding authenticity and playability of the Scarbee brand. Existing Scarbee products will be successively relaunched as self-contained instruments that will be maintained and distributed by Native Instruments.
