Stanton releases SC-IX Firmware for the SCS4.DJ System
Stanton has recently released a SCS.4DJ SC-IX V4.0 update. There are a lot of important features that many working DJ’s have requested, and they have tried to get in a good selection for this release. Mackie today announces the sale and transition of Tracktion Music Production Software to the Tracktion Software Corporation (TSC). TSC is led by three principals; Julian ‘Jules’ Storer, the original creator of Tracktion as well as former “Mackoids” James ‘Woody’ Woodburn and Dave Christenson.
Faderfox releases UC3 Universal Controller
The Faderfox UC3 controller is their new universal and programmable controller and is available now. The UC3 works fine with any music software on PC or Mac and also with iPad. A special script for Ableton Live is enclosed.
Yonac Magellan for iPad 2.1 Update
Yonac have released an update for their Magellan virtual analog dual synth. Version 2.1 is now available. The song in the video shows off new 2.1 features including Audiobus’s FX slot, new FREE FX (Equalizer & Compressor), ability to rearrange FX flow, and SPAWN – Magellan’s artificial intelligence preset creator! All Magellan sounds in this video were created with SPAWN.
Audio Damage Bitcom Available Now
There are subtle plug-ins you put on the two-buss to give a nice gentle vibe to a track. Bitcom is not one of those. There is no “analog modeling” in this effect. There is no warmth or tube saturation. It is utterly devoid of anything to which the word “vintage” can be applied. Muse Research introduces the TRIO and QUATTRO
Muse Research and Development, Inc. makers of the RECEPTOR VIP dedicated hardware-based plug-in player, have introduced the RECEPTOR TRIO and QU4TTRO at the past 2013 Winter NAMM show. The new RECEPTORS feature a new quad-core processing engine and comes bundled with a PreSonus 1818 audio interface for up to 18 inputs and outputs.
Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol Z2 – Gearjunkies Review
Last year gave us a lot of new gear from Native Instruments, who have been introducing new controllers as well as releasing a major new version of their Traktor DJ software. Think Maschine Mk2, Kontrol F1 and Traktor 2.6, that introduced Flux Modus. The release of the latest Traktor software was combined with the introduction of Native Instruments’ DJ mixer, the Kontrol Z2. After absorbing the specs and the rumors, we were pretty curious about the Z2. After we received the Z2 in our lab we took it through some extensive testing. We wanted to find out, is the Kontrol Z2 more than just a 2-channel mixer?
Flux Elixir and BitterSweet Version 3 available now
Flux finally have started to release the AAX (Native & DSP) and 64-bit compatible versions of our software, built on our latest 64-bit version 3 framework, hereafter called v3. First out is the FREE BitterSweet v3 Transient Designer, and the Elixir v3 True Peak Limiter, and now when we have the framework ready, we are aiming at having all our software ported and available within Q1 this year.
