KORG Debuts Limited Edition MS-20 Kit

As a follow-up to the in-demand MS-20 Mini, and with musical do-it-yourselfers in mind, Korg has debuted the MS-20 Kit, a limited-edition kit that allows anyone-from musicians to the musically curious-to easily and safely build a working reproduction of Korg’s original, iconic MS-20 analog synth. Only 1,000 units will be available worldwide.

Last week it seemed that the whole (gear) world got excited by the news that Roland would re-issue the classis TR-808 drum machine. For many of is this could be the sign that Roland would follow on the steps of KORG in reviving the true ‘analogue’ sound. Yesterday Roland continued their AIRA capagne with the release of a video on their classic TR-909. Will this mean ………?

Well just what the title of this post says, Moog will be presenting an aluminium version of their Minimoog Voyager at the coming NAMM next week. The only thing that has been released is the picture below. Specifications or such haven’t been disclosed yet, but as it is a custom cosmetic change that won’t be the case we think. Just the ‘golden’ version this will be a limited edition as well. So when you’re in the market for a an analog, hardware beast with modern looks? Keep your eyes on us or on Moog!

New Elektron Instrument Unveiled…!

Elektron had already told us they would bring something new to the NAMM show. And today they are giving us (and you) just a little sneak preview of what to expect. If we look closely, it appears to be an Octatrack with colorful drumpads (like we saw on some of the NI instruments). However, Elektron is sticking to their usual practise of NOT saying anything more then this. We’ll have to wait til NAMM!
