New Elektron Instrument Unveiled…!

Elektron had already told us they would bring something new to the NAMM show. And today they are giving us (and you) just a little sneak preview of what to expect. If we look closely, it appears to be an Octatrack with colorful drumpads (like we saw on some of the NI instruments). However, Elektron is sticking to their usual practise of NOT saying anything more then this. We’ll have to wait til NAMM!

ROLI, a ground-breaking music technology startup based in London, will be exhibiting at the NAMM Show for the first time. They will be presenting their Seaboard GRAND, a new musical instrument that has attracted a great deal of attention in musician and tech communities, as well as the press. The NAMM Show is the world’s largest trade-only event for the music products industry. It is held every January in Anaheim, CA, and this year’s dates are Thursday, January 23th to Sunday, January 26th.

When Sands and his design consultants, Ron Lagerlof of Visioneering Design and Andy Potvin from Dolby Laboratories, Inc., learned that Focusrite would shortly begin shipping the RedNet 6 MADI Bridge, they knew they had found that solution, and—sight unseen—ordered and installed one of the first units to be produced.
