This week we had some posts on the amazing hardware controller keyboard for G-Force’s impOSCar2, built by Mario Jurisch from Synth-Project. Mario tells us that he already started his next project. He will be building a controller for the Sonicprojects OP-X. This manufacturer from Switzerland developed a remake of the legendary Oberheim OB-X for VST and Reaktor.
Analog Experience THE FACTORY is the redesigned and enhanced version of “Analog Factory Experience”. By combining a native software application and a dedicated controller keyboard, it offers a simple, rich and exciting experience. Musicians just need to plug the keyboard via USB and launch the software. From there they can put their mouse away; everything is easily controllable from the keyboard. As a matter of fact, the user experience is the same as on a traditional Hardware synthesizer, except that Analog Experience THE FACTORY brings many more sounds (3500 high quality synthesizer sounds), a better integration within DAW’s, and all this at a price that is hard to beat. Analog Experience THE FACTORY includes a high quality 32-key keyboard controller, with
premium key-action, channel aftertouch and an aluminum frame that is bristling with controls. Combined to the new MIDI Control Center application, THE FACTORY is child’s play to use with any third-party software or hardware instrument.
Avid today introduced the VENUE MADI (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface) Option Card, which opens up new workflows to VENUE users, making it easier to integrate VENUE into any existing MADI environment such as a concert venue, broadcast facility, or other fixed installation, using the industry-standard MADI protocol. With the card installed, VENUE users can send and receive up to 64 channels of audio between their VENUE system and a wide variety of MADI-compatible devices, including routers, other digital mixing consoles, and mobile recording setups. In addition, customers can now easily accommodate more complex workflows that would typically require the use of a patchbay.
Designed for live use on stage – These probably world’s smallest DJ-controllers are designed for live use on the stage. All Faderfox controllers are professionally manufactured in series in Germany, ensuring high quality. And there it is! Mario has just finished his fantastic impOSCar 2 Controller “Keyboard Version”. Comment of Chris Mcleod from GForce was: “Stunning!” And yes, we totally agree. This machine looks so cool that you would love to take it and go and play with it. Earlier Mario mentioned the controller would maybe go up for auction or people could make a bid for it, … but this thing took up so much time and money in parts that he is just as happy to just keep it for himself. (And who could blame him for that?) But then again…. for the right offer?

Sonic Charge have created an online tool that they call The MicroTonic Patternarium. You could describe Patternarium as an online collaborative patch randomizer. It continuously generates new sounds and rhythms for MicroTonic through principles of evolution. You get to vote on whether rhythms should prosper and procreate or if they should die. Call it musical darwinism – survival of the phattest.
Voxengo Crunchessor version 2.6 is now available for download. Voxengo Crunchessor is a general-purpose track compressor for professional audio production applications. It is available in AudioUnit and VST plug-in formats, for Mac OS X and Windows computers.

Dicer was designed by Novation in collaboration with Ean Golden – DJ and curator of DJ Tech Tools. Ean came up with the concept of a controller that fits on the turntable, and his contribution has been crucial in helping Novation design and develop Dicer. Developed with Serato, this palm-sized cue point and looping controller has been designed to fit exactly where you need it: on your turntables, CDJs, mixer or laptop. Dicer always ships in pairs – one for each side. Although Dicer has been designed to integrate with Serato, it also works with other DJ software.
