New firmware and software updates for KRK ERGO

Released in 2008, the popular ERGO (Enhanced Room Geometry Optimization) is a stand-alone hardware room correction system that corrects recording studio acoustics and is compatible with all recording and monitoring systems. The state-of-the-art ERGO improves any studio mixing space by correcting for “real world” acoustic problems. In addition to firmware and software updates, KRK ERGO now offers support for Microsoft® Windows® 7 (64 and 32-bit) and Apple® Mac OSX Snow Leopard® operating systems, making it fully compatible with all major operating systems used in recording and production.

Allthough several new products ‘leaked’ before the doors of the NAMM show were opened, we didn’t think we would get so many announcements or product updates as we actually did. To be honest, we were damn busy for a couple of days. There were enough manufacturers that managed to keep wraps on the new stuff till last friday and therefor surprised us with new goodies.

TC Electronic Powercore discontinued – Crossgrade to AUD-2 available

TC Electronic and Universal Audio announce collaboration to offer a high value crossgrade option to UAD-2 for registered PowerCore users worldwide, as further development for the PowerCore range comes to a halt. As part of a larger strategic review, TC Electronic has decided to cease further development of the PowerCore product range. With the most recent release of software version 4.0, PowerCore is fully compatible with current operating systems and DAWs – 32 bit as well as 64 bit.
