Only a week after the release of version 2.1. of their Vocal synthesizer Cantor, Virsyn has released version 2.2. of their Spectral Morphing Resynthesizer Cube.

With this competition you will be lead through the process of manipulating a resynthesized sample with the SOURCE EDIT functions of CUBE 2. These functions enables you to change the sound characteristic on an abstract level. The goal of this competition is that you will learn how to apply different predefined MODELS on a resynthesized sample. These models include different vocals which apply appropriate formant filters to the base sound, a PLUCKED STRING model to simulate the characteristic of guitar or piano like sounds and others.
