From January 17 to January 20 the NAMM Show is the largest music products trade show in United States. Held every January in Anaheim, California, USA the show brings together all facets of the music products industry to reveal new musical instruments/products and ideas. And every year rumours start to emerge on the internet on what the manufacturers have cooked up for us. What can we expect for the coming year. We tried to gather some totally unfounded and unauthorised ‘rumours’ for you.
NAMM2008 Rumours (and half facts), … so far:
– Stanton DJ will be announcing several new products
– Spectrasonics, will be unveiling a complete new product. Will a Synth Workstation complete their current productline?
– New stuff from Universal Audio
– AMS-NEVE The DMC, new mixing console (not quit a rumour anymore!)
– Digidesign, … but there are rumours on DD every year…. so!
– No rumour, AAS will introduce a new VSTi called GS-1
– Audio Ease will show Snapper
– New plugin from Sonnox
– Roland Fantom G6, G7 and G8
– Moog synth news
– Focusrite and Novation news
Again we want to stress that most rumours are exactly what they mean, … RUMOURS. Most manufacturers keep a lit on the final details untill the NAMM will start next week. It goes without saying that when details of new products ‘hit the street’ we will get them to you immediately.
