AMS Neve introduces new products at NAB 2008

AMS Neve Ltd, the worlds premier professional audio company continues to pick up the pace of its new product introductions at NAB this year where it will unveil four state of the art products to further broaden and deepen its industry leading portfolio of consoles, workstations, hard disk editors and outboard gear.

The Digital Multimedia Console (DMC) builds on the legendary success of the Academy Award winning DFC film mixing console. It has been designed to deliver comprehensive mix and DAW control capabilities at an incredible price. The standard package adds the legendary AMS Neve sound, EQ and Dynamics to all your mixes and provides the full stereo and 7.1 surround monitoring modes featured on our Hollywood-dominating DFC Gemini consoles.

The 4081 Quad Mic Preamp builds on the incredible success of the 1081 and 1081R modules and provides both powerful control and the legendary Neve sound. Perfect for vocals, ADR and Foley Recording, the 4081 features make it the Mic- Preamp of choice for any studio, OB truck or live stage environment. Every function of the 4081 can be controlled directly from the front panel or by remote control using a Mac or Intel based computer with Neve Remote Control software. This provides a simple and elegant solution for users of ProTools, Nuendo, Cubase and similar DAW systems. Multiple 4081 units can be linked together to create up to 64 independent channels of Mic-Preamps or Line Level inputs – all controlled from a single computer!

Also new to NAB this year is the much talked about Neve Genesys music recording console. With pre-orders for this console creeping towards triple digits already, Genesys represents the introduction of Neve’s fabled analogue design and engineering to a broader target audience. Genesys is a hand-built, expandable analogue recording console with digital workstation control and a base configuration starting under $50,000. A console that builds upon Neve’s 40 years of technical heritage, including legendary mic pre-amplifiers and highly revered analogue circuit design. But Genesys also accommodates for the seismic changes in the methods of music recording, with extensive digital control and connectivity.

CineFile is a brand new, purpose built multi-format recorder/dubber drawing on a 20 year heritage of Academy Award winning AMS Neve hard disk recording technology. The result is a completely new, ground-up design using the latest technology specially developed to place the emphasis on reliability, sound quality and ease of use. Open, multiple format support lets the client record in the delivery format of their choice without being “locked in” to a single format. Integrated automation allows simultaneous automation and audio re-conform.
