In 1974, before “boutique pedal” meant anything, two friends started building pedals between gigs to make some extra money. Their band never got signed but the pedals they built became the signature tones of their generation, inspiring the music that changed the world.
The original boutique pedal brand, triumphantly returns with the new Overdrive Preamp 250 and Phasor 201. Along with incredible analog tones, both pedals feature true bypass, a crisp LED, modern power jack, and lighter aluminum chassis.
Available for a limited time only.
The legendary analog DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 is back, with over 40 years of history and experience behind it. The new 2013 version of the legendary DOD 250 captures all of the classic tone and wild heart of the original but in no way tames its performance. The 250 is better than ever before with true bypass, a crisp blue LED indicator, gobs of output, and modern 9V DC power supply input. Redesigned with a lighter aluminum chassis, sleek yellow metallic flake and flat black matte bottom paint job, the 2013 DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 pedal is the perfect sonic foundation to carry on the legacy of DOD.
The DOD Overdrive Preamp 250 (2013) has Gain and Level controls, like its predecessors. Gain controls the amount of distortion, from just a touch of grit to all-out grind. Level dials in some subtle body for “always on” performance or huge amounts of boost for boosting solos above a dense stage mix. With the Gain all the way down, crank up the Level to boost your sound and cut through during your solos. True bypass allows your guitar tone to remain pristine even when the new DOD 250 (2013) is off. This is a big difference from the original which would color your bypassed tone. The modern 9V DC power supply input make the pedal more pedalboard friendly.
One of the first phaser effect pedals ever made, the original DOD Phasor 201, blazed the trail for all phaser pedals after it. The new DOD Phasor 201 (2013) brings the classic analog phaser effect driven by 40+ years of tone creating experience. The new 2013 DOD Phasor 201 is better than ever before with true bypass, a crisp blue LED indicator, and modern 9V DC power supply input. Redesigned with a lighter aluminum chassis, sleek blue metallic flake and flat black matte bottom paint job, the 2013 DOD Phasor 201 pedal is a refined take on classic phasing effects, with an incredible new look.
The operation of the 2013 DOD Phasor 201 is pure simplicity. Like the original, the Speed knob controls the depth and speed of the phasing effect, with great tone at any range. True bypass allows your guitar tone to remain pristine even when the DOD Phasor 201 (2013) is off. This is a big difference from the original which would color your bypassed tone. The modern 9V DC power supply input make the pedal more pedalboard friendly.
