British manufacturer, Audient announces details of a brand new competition to find the freshest new mixing talent this summer. Entrants are invited to mix indie-rock band, Hard-Fi’s brand new track ‘Move Over’ for their chance to win two great Audient products: ASP880 and iD22 worth over £1300!
The competition is open to budding mix engineers across the globe, providing they are over 13. Entrants simply download the stems of the Hard-Fi track from the Audient website, work their magic, then upload their remix to the Audient Soundcloud before 18th August, where the public can decide on its favourite mixes.
Teaming up with sponsors Sound On Sound, Gobbler and Audient ASP4816 owners Hard-Fi, competition entrants are encouraged to be themselves, get creative and make sure their mix sounds great. Both prizes, the Audient USB Interface iD22 and the 8 Channel Mic Pre & ADC ASP880 feature Audient’s renowned console mic preamplifiers, along with pristine converter technology, and each has been developed by Audient to be simple and intuitive allowing the user to focus on the music and enhance creativity.
The 25 mixes which receive the most Soundcloud ‘likes’ will go into a final round, where a panel of judges including renowned music producer and audio mixer Cenzo Townshend, representatives from Sound On Sound, Gobbler and Audient – and of course Hard-Fi themselves – will decide their top three.
The final winner will be announced on 1st September, and the two runners up will each win a year’s subscription to Sound On Sound magazine and a coveted Audient ‘Teaboy’ t-shirt. Full terms & conditions are available here.
