Numark will debut the industry’s first DJ mixing console with Universal Dock for iPod, that features the ability to scratch, control pitch, key-lock, and simultaneously play two songs from a single iPod with a stunning full-color screen.
The Numark iDJ2 is the only iPod mixing console that provides music control with real-time scratching, pitch control, seamless loop, and full cueing. For the first time ever, DJs can entertain crowds of all sizes with a single, docked iPod using pro-grade, balanced XLR connections or stereo RCA output, all with a brilliantly clear color screen that insures they never miss a detail.
The iDJ2 features an innovative new iPod docking system that allows users to play two songs simultaneously from a single iPod, without the need of a computer. Users can also hook up multiple mass storage devices including additional iPods, thumb drives, and external USB hard drives through rear panel USB ports. In addition to USB connectivity, the iDJ2 comes complete with line inputs for any audio source including a microphone, CD players and turntables.
Anyone can easily manage their music library with visual track-profiling using the iDJ2’s highly intuitive graphic interface. The color navigation abilities and full-function mixing are tightly integrated to usher in a new era for modern DJs.
An extraordinary mixing console and portable DJ system, iDJ2 supports multiple USB connectivity options, iPod docking and charging, and support for MP3, WAV, and AAC (non-DRM) formats.
A special iPod Direct Mode function allows users to play all iPod-supported music including songs purchased from the iTunes music store. Numark’s iDJ2 is expected to arrive September 2007 with a list price of $799 and an approximate street price of $599.
