VSL announces MIR Reverb Engine

After years of theoretical and applied research, technological changes, hardcore software development, even experiencing a few setbacks and repeatedly overcoming colossal roadblocks, an ambitious vision has finally become reality.

The Vienna Symphonic Library team embarks on their next mission, bringing space to a new dimension in virtual orchestral music. Vienna MIR, the software solution incorporating a complete reverberation and mixing stage is about to launch, with its first incarnation being ready for download in early 2009. An advanced DVD product will follow several months later.

VirSyn updates FX Line

The VirSyn FX Line containing the impressive number of six effect plugins, each having “something special” not found elsewhere, has been updated. All plugins are now compatible to the new Cubase 5. For BARK, MATRIX and PRISM we added the possibility to automate the band parameters. All registered users already got their free update via email.

Lavry Engineering Introduces the LavryBlack DA11

In keeping with the Lavry Engineering tradition of innovation in the pursuit of excellence, Dan Lavry has combined customer requested features with a flexible approach to controlling the stereo image. The patent pending >PiC< Playback Image Control™ allows the listener to adjust their position within the stereo sound field in a way that is unique to the DA11. Applications include adjusting the stereo width to create a headphone listening experience more like listening in a room with speakers, or moving the “sweet spot” with asymmetrical speaker placement.
